Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (“MPRE”)
MPRE is part of the bar exam in reality a professional conduct/ethic questions. Most states require it with some exceptions, since not all states require the MPRE for bar admission purposes i.e. Wisconsin, Maryland and Puerto Rico. It is administered 3 times a year by the NCBE and the passing scores vary from 70% upwards and are set by each state respectively. Some states require it to be completed before admission and some states may allow you to take within a specified time after passing the bar exam. It consists of 60 multiple choice questions, 50 scored and 10 un-scored pre-test questions.
